Course and current status

1991-1994: PhD student in UPRES-A 6026, Rennes (Director: Prof. Y Valotaire). Title: "Regulation of the estrogen receptor and vitellogenin gene expression in rainbow trout heptocyte primary culture".

1994-1996: Post-doctoral position in the National Diagnostic Centre, BioResearch Ireland, Galway, Irland (Director: Prof. F Gannon). Title: "Study of the estrogen receptor-alpha gene expression in human and chicken".   

1996-1998: Senior post-doctoral position in EMBL, Meyerhofstraße 1, 69117 Heidelberg, Germany (Director: Prof. F Gannon). Title: "Study of the estrogen receptor-alpha gene expression in human ".   

1999-2007: Research associate CNRS 2/1, member of the team "Molecular Endocrinology of Reproduction", UMR CNRS 6026, Campus de Beaulieu, 35042 Rennes.

 2007-2011: Group leader of the team "Estrogen receptor and Cell fate", UMR CNRS 6026, Campus de Beaulieu, 35042 Rennes.

2012-2021: Research associate CNRS 1, member of the team "Transcription, Environment et Cancer", IRSET, Campus de Beaulieu et Avenue du Professeur Léon-Bernard, Rennes.

2022-present: Co-leader of the team "Réparation d’ADN, expression d’ARN, signalisation d'oestrogène et carcinome mammaire", Irset, Inserm UMR_S 1085, 9 avenue du Prof. Léon Bernard, Rennes.

Scientific summary

 I devote my research activity to understanding the regulations, modes of action and functions of the estrogen receptor-alpha (ERα) at the cellular, physiological and pathological levels.
