Research Interest

Carbohydrate-active enzymes, Carbohydrate chemistry, Biochemistry, Enzymology, Development of new methodologies by using both chemical and biotechnological tools in order to synthesize furanosyl-containing glycoconjugates, NMR spectroscopy. Applications towards parasitic diseases, cancer, and in plant health. 

Co-author of 53 publications, 2 international patents and 16 invited seminars.

Since 2006, Supervisor of 10 MSc Students, Co-supervisor of 10 PhD students and 2 post-doctoral researcher in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry.
