Scientific summary

My research focuses on the mechanisms driving genome instabily in human cells. By combining genome editing methodsalike CRISP/Cas9 tools to basic molecular and cellular biology, my aim is to identify the factors that drive genome rearrangments both in nuclear and mitochondrial DNA. In parallel, we are studying how chromosomal translocations are driven oncogenesis.
