My main research topic is focused on the role of the cardiac ryanodine receptor (RyR2) in cardiac disorders.
We thus generate patient-specific cardiomyocytes using the human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) technology to better understand the underlying molecular calcium-related mechanisms and devise pharmacological interventions to improve treatment of cardiac diseases.
