Scientific summary

B. Srour's main research interests are the impact of food-processinng on health, as well as the links between circadian perturbation due to food intakes and chronic diseases, in particular cancer.
On another aspect, he is now working, in the framework of his research activites in the German Cancer Research Center, on the development of a score for clinical practice, to predict life expectancy using lifetstyle factors and blood biomarkers.

He is the Coordinator and a member of the steering commitee of the French Network for Nutrition and Cancer Research (Réseau NaCRe).

He (co)authored more than 60 scientific publications (H-Index = 16), and is a regular reviewer for several journals (BMJ, JAMA, International Journal of Cancer, European Journal of Epidemiology). He is an expert for the French National Cancer Institute. He co-directed 5 and tutored 2 Master students, and participates occasionally to the teaching activities of the Masters programme “Nutrition and Public health” Paris 13 University (Dyslipidemia, Methods in Epidemiology, Food Processing and Health). He was a teaching assistant for first-year medical and bachelor in biology students in Paris 13 University; and gives regular lectures and seminars on Nutrition and Cancer.
