Scientific summary

We are interested in the molecular mechanisms of replication of damaged DNA.

More precisely we attempt to reconstitute in vitro systems of replication of damaged DNA and we investigate :

- the function of the proteins required for these processes

- the role of DNA polymerase associated proof-reading exonucleaseactivity in  replication of damaged DNA       

- the protein-protein and protein- DNA interactions involved in this process
