Scientific summary

My field of research was initially based on the effects of mast cell derived tryptase on bronchial smooth muscle cells. Then, I moved to the relationship between mast cells and bronchial smooth muscle cells. The structure-function relationships of bronchial obstruction have also been evaluated using in vivo imaging.

Now, my research projects are focused on the pathophysiology of bronchial remodeling in both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease using a translational research involving clinical, physiological, pharmacological, radiological, histological biological and molecular approaches.
