Scientific summary

MAIN INTEREST IN RESEARCH

Interactions between nutritional and genetic factors in adipocyte and lipid metabolisms: studies in obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk.

CURRENT WORKS

Association studies:

Genetic polymorphisms of the HDL and reverse cholesterol transport pathway, of adipokines and their expression regulating factors, in relation with cardiovascular risk and susceptibility to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, in prospective cohorts, in particular D.E.S.I.R. (general population) and DIABHYCAR (type 2 diabetic patients).
