Scientific summary
Our Main domains of research
1- Study of genetic factors which are involved in the etiology of cancer taking into account all known (or still putative) risk factors and their interactions.
2- Characterization of the mutations involved in familial breast and ovarian cancer by taking into account the effects of either genetic or environmental/lifestyle factors including mutations in ATM and BRCA1 or BRCA2.
3- Research of “new” inherited susceptibility genes in women in whom BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations have not been detected
