Scientific summary

I design machine learning algorithms for automatic image and video analysis with two main applications in ophthalmology.

• The first application is automatic eye pathology screening and severity assessment, with recent successes in diabetic retinopathy screening.
• The second application is automatic eye surgery monitoring, with recent successes in cataract surgery monitoring.
