My PHD consisted in the validation of an animal test of anxiety behaviour. Later, I got interested in animal models od anxiety disorders. As these models usually respond to chronic antidepressants, I than became interested in the mechanisms of action of antidepressants, focusing on the stress axis and on hippocampal newborn neurons. Currently, I try to find new therapies of stress-related disorders such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). These therapies involve non invasive repeated neurostimulation.
