Pesticides, widely used in our society, are now found as residues in all compartments of our environment. Numerous studies have detected their presence in the air, in food, in water and in soil. We are therefore confronted with chronic exposure to low doses of pesticide residues without knowing the effect on our health in the short and long term. Epidemiological studies can hardly account for the impact of this multiple chronic exposure throughout life, from conception to aging, and their role in the occurrence of diseases, whether developmental or neurodegenerative. To answer this question, it is necessary to develop experimental models, and we use several animal models, such as the zebrafish or the mouse. We also study the impact of these pollutants on neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer's and autism mouse models.
