Scientific summary

Thierry Garaix is an Assistant Professor of operations research Applied to Healthcare Systems at the Center for Health Engineering of the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne
(France), and member of the research laboratory LIMOS UMR CNRS 6158 (Clermont-Ferrand,
France), since 2011. He is currently the head of the team I4S. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research and Geomatics from the Université d’Avignon et des Pays de Vaucluse (France), in 2007. His research interests focus on the optimization of logistics and care production systems using combinatorial optimization and simulation to address complex real-world planning problems under uncertainty..
He is a main contributor of a digital twin prototype of an Emergency Medical Service. He also developed two industrial decision support systems for planning tires production at Pirelli (Italy) and on demand transportation in Doubs Central (France).
