  • Structural studies on rhabdovirus proteins: Determination of the structures of the matrix protein and of the glycoprotein of vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV).

  • Mechanism of viral membrane fusion: Highlighting the specificities of the fusion machinery of rhabdoviruses, characterization of fusion intermediates.

  • Assembly and budding of VSV: Matrix protein polymerization properties and ability to deform membranes.

 

  • Rhabdovirus-host interactions: Structure and function of rabies virus Negri bodies, interaction of rabies virus glycoprotein with the folding machinery of the ER, of VSV matrix protein with dynamin, etc.
