Scientific summary

TNF is known to be expressed in human skin, regulating immune-related responses. We were working on a group of members of TNFsuperfamily and their cognate receptors : A proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL; TNFSF13), B cell-activating factor (BAFF; TNFSF13B), and their receptors, B cell maturation antigen (BCMA; TNFRSF17), transmembrane activator, calcium-modulator, and cyclophilin ligand interactor (TACI; TNFRSF13B), TNF-like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK, TNFSF12) and his receptor in this protein family, the fibroblast growth factor-inducible 14 receptor (FN14, TNFRSF12A).

They seem to play a critical role in normal skin and during skin homeostasis, injuries, inflammation and pathology, particulary in epidermis. 

I'm working actually on T lymphocytes phenotypes identification in cutaneous lymphoma, after extraction of lymphocytes from skin.
