I was one of the first in France to work with hESC after the bioethics law (Loi de Bioéthique) was modified in 2004, and also among the very first in France to derive hESC lines (HD83, HD90, HD129, HD287 and HD291). In addition, my group obtained more than 10 human iPS cell lines by reprogramming foreskin fibroblasts. After having focused on the determinant of pluripotency by using microarrays and flow cytometry, the group has moved its focus on the genetic stability of pluripotent stem cells and their capacity to differentiate into bronchial epithelium. We are tackling these issues both on hESC and hiPSC.
