Course and current status
Luc ZIMMER (PharmD, PhD) is professor of pharmacology at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, University Hospital of Lyon (Hospices Civils de Lyon) and at the National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN, Saclay).
He is director of the CERMEP Imaging Platform and is also head of the BIORAN laboratory (Biomarqueurs radiopharmaceutiques et neurochimiques) at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center.
He is editor-in-chief of the journal Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology (Wiley) and past-president of the Scientific Council of the French Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (SFPT).
Scientific summary
Luc ZIMMER is working in the area of brain molecular imaging, particularly in the field of physiological and pathological neurotransmission. His research interests include the developpement of novel PET radiopharmaceuticals for brain diagnostic imaging, CNS drug discovery and biomarkers in neuropsychiatry.
