Scientific summary

I have been working in the field of neuroscience, with a formation in psychology, since 2001 and I have published twenty papers in peer-reviewed journals. From those years I have acquired great experience and skills in the fields of behaviour, pharmacology, molecular biology with the objective to decipher the functions of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in the brain. During my bachelors and PhD, in Dr. Prosperos’ lab, I was dedicated to the study of the role of the ECS on memory and feeding behavior. After the PhD, I awarded the prestigious Fyssen Foundation fellowship, which allowed me to continue my research at Bordeaux, in Dr. Marsicano´s lab. As a postdoctoral fellow, I am working in the dissection of neural circuits involved in endocannabinoid signaling and its impact in several brain processes such as memory, emotion, and energy balance.
