Scientific summary

Development of synthetic oligonucleotides as versatile tools to modulate gene expression

Targeted damage in specific nucleic sequences using activatable antisense or antigene oligonucleotides:

Modulating protein-nucleic acid interactions by triplex formation in a specific sequence context results in specific inhibition of transcription or damage repair. Optimizing antigene strategy to regulate transcription, looking for specific cellular proteins involved in triplex recognition:
