Research interests.
My general interest lies in platelet biology, at both platelet function and mechanisms of platelet formation.
I was first interested in platelet functions through purinergic receptors (P2Y1 and P2Y12)activation.
More recently, I have been interested in platelet functions in MYH9-related disorders, and in the mechanisms involved in megakaryocytopoiesis and platelet formation which are defective in MYH9-related disorders.
To investigate these questions, the laboratory combines techniques of molecular and cell biology with confocal and electron microscopy imaging and mouse physiology.
