I had a 16-month oversea experience as Head of the Laboratory of the hospital of Mamouzou, Mayote Island (Indian Ocean).
I have been named Assistant Professor in the Virology laboratory of the University Hospital of Montpellier (St-Eloi Hospital) with teaching activities at the Faculty of Medicine and clinical laboratory activities.
I have completed a PhD in 1992 and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR, habilitation to direct research), the highest degree awarded by the French universities , in 1996.
I am now Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the laboratory of Virology of the St-Eloi Hospital
I have been involved in research activities mainly focusing on HIV, opportunistic viruses and, more recently on the relationships between HIV and other sexually transmitted viral infections (HSV-2 and HPV) as well as the relationship of mmucocutaneous viruses and cancer.
