Main research interests
  • Pharmacogenetics of immunosuppressants and other treatments in transplantation.
  • Drugs and xenobiotics disposition in humans
  • Pharmacoepigenetics
  • Next-Generation Sequencing
Clinical routine activity
  • Head of the pharmacogenetics unit at Limoges University hospital (UF8921 of molecular genetics) : testing include: DPYD/fluoropyrimidines, TPMT/thiopurines, CYP3A5 and CYP3A4*22/tacrolimus, UGT1A1/irinotecan, VKORC1-CYP2C9/anticoagulants, IL28B/hepatitic C therapy, CYP2C19/voriconazole
  • Registered at the 'G' section (Biologist) of the Pharmacist national council and authorized by the National Biomedicine Agency
Experience and Skills
  • Pharmacogenetics: Experience includes real time PCR (TaqMan technology, ABI Prism), High Resolution Melting and direct sequencing. IT skills include the design of assay, sequence analysis (Sequencher; genecode) and haplotype analysis. Clinical association studies and experimental pharmacogenetics.
  • Drug metabolism and transport studies: Experience includes preparation and use of in vitro models (microsomes, recombinant enzymes), design of methods and strategies for identification of metabolites, enzyme, or isoforms involved in a metabolic pathway (either of phase I or phase II), enzyme kinetics, in vitro-in vivo extrapolation and drug-drug interaction studies. Transport studies using caco2, HepaRG. Molecular cloning and cell transfection.
  • Mass spectrometry applied to structural elucidation and determination of small molecules.
