Scientific summary

In basic science, my research interests focus on immuno inflammatory responses to cardiovascular stress. Our research group is conducting preclinical studies investigating the mechanisms and effects of immuno inflammatory responses modulation at the time of acute myocardial infarction and heart graft transplantation. We are also working on regulation of inflammation and immune signalling for acute and chronic myocardial diseases : Damage Associated Molecular Patterns, purinergic receptors, TLR, stem cell mobilisation, cytokine activation, extracellular matrix remodeling, dendritic cells modulation, myocardial cell injuries.

I am collaborating with the MABImprove research group (http://mabimprove.univ-tours.fr/?lang=en) specialized in the development and evaluation of monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of numerous diseases including cardiovascular diseases.

Our research group is involved in the FHU "SUPORT" an Inter University Hospital collaboration aiming at improving solid organ graft survival.

In clinical research, I am the director of the cardiovascular intensive care & interventional cardiology research group of our university hospital.

Our group is actively recruiting patients in clinical studies on ischemic and pharmacologic post conditioning to prevent  acute myocardial reperfusion infarction. We are also participating in clinical trials and registries focused on atherosclerosis, pulmonary embolism, anti thrompbotic agents and myocarditis. Because of our involvment in the MABImprove group we are actively recruiting patients in clinical trials evaluating Therapeutics Monoclonal Antibodies in cardiovascular diseases such as anti PCSK9 MABs. We are also members of the FACT (French Alliance for Clinical Trials) network.
