Scientific summary
Research
To elucidate the role of blood platelets in inflammation. Current projects include: (i) blood platelet contribution to the pathogenesis of systemic sclerosis (ii) blood platelet contribution to the pathogenesis of inflammatory kidney diseases. We take an interdisciplinary approach including patient cohort studies, animal models, cell culture models and cell-free biochemistry.
