Scientific summary
I am a basic scientist, working at INSERM, the French National Institute for Medical Research. I manage a research team "Muscle and Pathologies", at the Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences. This team gathers basic scientists, geneticists and clinicians, working on congenital muscle pathologies related to defect in muscle calcium release. Two approaches are developed: fundamental research in order to determine the normal function of the muscle, and research on pathological human muscle, to identify the defects resulting of a mutation.
