At present, I am interested in exploring the brain physiology and pathophysiology (in particular of cerebral malaria and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis) with quantitative magnetic resonance imaging techniques and positron emission tomography as well as stereology. For this aim, I develop new MRI techniques and use advanced quantitative MRI techniques on animal models of brain disease.
