Research Interest:
Many epidemiological studies demonstrate a correlation between exposure to particulate matter pollution and cardiovascular mortality and morbidity. In this context, I am interested in studying the alteration of pulmonary vasomotion induced by particulate matter (airborne particulate matter and manufactured nanoparticles). My experiments are conducted at the Cardio-Thoracic Research Center of Bordeaux (INSERM U1045) and are focused on the effects of those particles on the NO signaling pathway since this factor derived from vascular endothelium is widely known for its vasculoprotective effects.
